Clue Circle Privacy & Support
Privacy information and support for Clue Circle, an original iPhone and iPad party guessing game currently being prepared for release.
Local game data
No accounts or subscriptions. All decks and modes are free; an optional one-time purchase removes banner ads. Custom decks, team names, preferences and the latest 200 completed rounds stay on your device. Device backups can include them. Sharing exports and scores is your choice. Reset preserves a local recovery copy; deleting the app does not delete copies you exported or backed up.
Optional Firebase Analytics
Release analytics counts app opens, fixed categories, round and team-match outcomes, feature use, settings, consent outcomes and ad failures using count ranges and a random app-instance id. It never sends words, deck titles, team names or free text. Google may process device context, usage, diagnostics and IP-derived approximate location. Advertising consent for Firebase is denied; ad-ID and IDFV collection, automatic screens and personalization are disabled.
Purchase-flow counts include screen opens, attempts, verified completions, failures and restores, without receipts, transaction identifiers or payment details.
Disable Anonymous usage analytics in Settings to stop collection and reset its local analytics identifier. Previously processed data is not automatically erased. Development and simulator builds do not collect. The separate Firebase connection is not yet active during release preparation.
Advertising and choices
Google Mobile Ads and UMP support non-personalized banners outside active rounds, only when the consent platform permits requests. Refusing consent does not block gameplay. Google and advertising partners may process IP address, device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostics for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Firebase may receive automatic ad-impression events.
Advertising privacy is separate from the usage-analytics toggle. Where required, use Manage ad privacy choices in Settings to change consent. No tracking permission is requested and publisher first-party identifiers are disabled. Production ads are still being configured before release.
Permissions and privacy requests
Motion is used only for optional tilt controls and is never saved or uploaded. There is no microphone, camera, contacts or precise-location access. Clue Circle is not directed to children under 13 or submitted to the Kids category.
Google may process data outside your country under its privacy policies and retention settings. Contact us for applicable privacy rights; anonymous records may require information to identify them. Support email is used to reply and keep a request record, not for a mailing list.
Optional Remove Ads purchase
Apple processes the one-time purchase and displays the localized price. Clue Circle checks verified StoreKit transactions and entitlements, never receives your payment details or Apple Account credentials, and does not upload receipts to its own server. All banner placements are removed while the entitlement is active. Every deck and mode remains free.
Restore Purchases is available in Settings and on the Remove Ads screen. Refunds or revocations can restore ads. Purchasing does not automatically disable optional usage analytics. There is no subscription. Production purchase setup is still being completed before release.
How to play and troubleshoot
Choose a deck, duration and solo/group or team mode. Tap Everyone ready? and face the screen toward the clue-givers. Got it scores a correct answer; Pass skips it. Pause hides the word and freezes time. Touch controls remain available if optional tilt is unreliable.
The plus button creates decks: 5 to 500 unique phrases, names up to 40 characters, phrases up to 80 characters. Import accepts UTF-8 word lists up to 100 KB. Share word lists to move decks; full-backup import is not supported.
No ads or connection? The game remains available. Check advertising status in Settings and use Retry advertising connection. If a save is unreadable, export its recovery copy before resetting.
